Welcome to MindPocket. This Privacy Policy explains how MindPocket (“we”, “us”, “the App”) handles your information. MindPocket is designed to keep your documents private and secure. Please read this policy carefully.
1. Summary — What we do
MindPocket lets you scan documents (receipts, IDs, prescriptions, business cards, warranties, etc.), extract text using on-device OCR, and organize the extracted metadata on your device.
By default, all data is stored on your device. We do not collect or store user documents on our servers.
2. Data collection
We do not collect data from the app for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose. MindPocket contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs by default.
Optional cloud/AI processing (user-initiated)
If you choose to use the optional AI formatting feature, MindPocket will send only the text you approve (the OCR output) to a third-party AI provider (for example: OpenAI / Claude) to perform formatting, tagging, or summarization. This transmission is:
- Strictly user-initiated — it only happens after you tap a specific action.
- Limited to OCR text (we do not send images unless you explicitly choose to upload images to an external service).
- Not stored by MindPocket on our servers. Any storage by the third-party AI provider is governed by that provider’s policies — users should review the AI provider’s privacy terms.
3. Local storage & security
All documents, OCR text, and AI-generated metadata are stored locally on your device by default. You may optionally export or share documents using the standard iOS share sheet.
We strongly recommend enabling Face ID / Touch ID or device passcode to protect access. MindPocket supports optional biometric lock to open the app or view sensitive documents.
4. Third-party services
MindPocket may integrate with third-party AI providers for optional features. If you use those features, the data you choose to send will be transmitted to the third-party provider. We do not include any analytics or advertising SDKs by default.
5. Data deletion
You can delete any document or metadata at any time within the app. Deleting removes it from your device. If you exported content to a third-party service, you must follow that service’s deletion procedures.
6. Children
The App is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
